Endodontics Surgery & Apical Microsurgery Training
Endodontic surgery has evolved into a precise microsurgical and biologically based adjunct to root canal therapy. Dr Peter Z. Tawil has lectured nationally and internationally on apical microsurgery and has mentored hundreds of specialists in improving their office logistics and refining their clinical techniques to improve their surgical operations. Our training is personalized to your needs. The training can be customized from 1-3 days depending on the need and the size of the group.
Dr Tawil and his staff utilize an in-person assessment of your operations; we analyze your equipment, staff logistics and specific needs. After the assessment is completed, we identify equipment weaknesses and suggest additional tools to enhance the surgical procedure and its workflow. We also coach your team on ways to enhance your existing surgical workflow. This is achieved through personalized lectures and hands-on trainings. Participants will be able to have one-on-one live feedback during their flap incisions, osteotomies, Piezotome driven osteotomies, hemostasis, root-end preparations, root-end obturation and sutures. This coaching approach can be done on realistic 3D models and/or on your own patients. These live demonstrations on your own patients will allow you to fully understand the advantages of advanced microsurgical techniques and how to predictably incorporate them within their office.
These one-on-one demonstrations usually focus on the following:
Assessing and adjusting your surgical armamentarium.
Achieving ideal clinical positioning and microscope positioning to streamline your workflow, speed & efficiency.
Obtaining crisp hemostasis.
Analyzing the root-end complex through LED transillumination & staining.
Incorporating the use of a surgical Piezotome to diminish surgical risks and improve healing.
Master lower 2nd molar intentional replantations.
Knowing when and how to graft various clinical scenarios.
A special advanced focus can also be provided in how to specifically incorporate the use of the Piezotome Technology in your office to enhance your surgical treatments. Mastering the use of the surgical Piezotome will help clinicians gain surgical predictability and safety. See the Piezotome Training section for more information.
This advanced clinical training can be tailored to your own needs. This is aimed for endodontists with a desire to improve their surgical skills but can also be given to general dentists adopting the dental microscope that are wanting to learn advanced endodontic surgical techniques and/or to incorporate the surgical Piezotome into their practice. This training will provide the appropriate knowledge & skills to help clinicians achieve predictable endodontic microsurgeries in their practice.
This course is offered in our Chapel Hill office and it can also be done Ă la carte by having it in your own office. To inquire about the various training packages to train with Dr Peter Z Tawil and his staff, please contact us at: Hello@GovernorsEndo.com
